2008 Alzheimer’s Association
Memory Walk
Dear Friend:
As an elder law attorney, I witness the struggle that
families encounter when a loved one is suffering from
Alzheimer’s Disease. In fact, my own family has been
affected by this Disease with the loss of several family
members. We have seen first-hand what extraordinary
support the Alzheimer’s Association offers to the
individuals affected by the Disease and the loved ones who
care for them.
The Elder Law Office of Judith M. Flynn has
again created a team to raise funds for the 2008 Alzheimer’s
Association Memory Walk scheduled for Sunday, September 21,
2008. We are proud to report
that, with your help and generosity, we have raised over
$10,000.00 to date for the Alzheimer’s Association, and we
hope to raise another $10,000.00 this year.
We know we can do it with your support! As a valued client,
family member, friend or neighbor, I invite you to do the
following:
1. Join our Team
Please call my office for details or go to
www.TheLegalCheckUp.com for more information. The
course we have chosen to participate in is a 3-mile scenic
route that begins and ends at Plimoth Plantation. A
detailed information packet will be mailed to you upon
signing up as a walker. Long-sleeve team t-shirts will be
provided to all team participants who walk and/or donate a
minimum of $250.
2. Recruit your friends and
family Encourage your friends and family to
join our Team and walk with us, or to make a donation.
The more the merrier, and all for a great cause. Team
shirts will also be provided to participants who commit to
raising $250 for the Team, even if they are not able to join
us for the Walk.
3. Make a donation
to the Alzheimer’s Association by mailing your tax
deductible donation (payable to the “Alzheimer’s Association
– MA Chapter”) to my office along with a completed
Donor
Form (click to view and print your Donor
Form). You may also make a donation online at
www.memorywalkma.org (click on “Sponsor
Participant” and enter Judith Flynn; this will bring you to
our Team donation page). Please be sure to note if your
donation is in honor of or in memory of a loved one.
4. Host a Silpada jewelry party to benefit the Alzheimer’s
Association. There are two great ways to host a Silpada jewelry party to benefit the Memory Walk. First, you
can host a get-together for friends, family & colleagues at
your home or office. Your guests can socialize and
enjoy refreshments while the Silpada representative shows
the line of fine sterling silver jewelry and takes orders.
Or, you can host a “catalog party” by inviting friends,
family & colleagues to view the catalog online and place
orders via phone or e-mail. Either way, you will have
fun and benefit a great cause at the same time, as 25-30% of
party sales will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association!
Hostesses who have a minimum of 10 ordering guests will
receive a long-sleeve team t-shirt.
5. Seek Matching Funds If your employer offers matching funds
for charitable contributions, please provide them with the
information they need to make a matching donation.
Proceeds from the Memory Walk go directly
to fund local programs and services designed to improve the
lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s Disease. I hope
you will join our efforts as a Donor or Participant. Please
do not hesitate to call if you have any questions. On
behalf of the millions of Americans who are affected by
Alzheimer’s Disease, I thank you for supporting the 2008
Memory Walk.
Very truly yours,
Judith M. Flynn
